Magmetism of solar flares
HIVER 2009-2010 neigeux mais doux ?
En ce 22 novembre 2009 l'activité électrique du Soleil revient à un bon niveau depuis 5 jours, même en l'absence de taches solaires. Ainsi le vent solaire atteint parfois 550km/s et sa densité 10 protons/cm3 (cf avec Google SWEPAM-ACE-3DAYS). Les centres actifs sont visibles sur le magnétisme solaire. Les jets de protons solaires donnent des fronts pluvieux comme on peut en voir deux sur l'Atlantique Nord (cf METOFFICE-LATEST-IR) ce qui a donné des inondations catastrophiques sur l'Irlande, ou stagne une dépression barométrique inférieure à 980 hectopascals (hPa). (cf METEOCIEL-MODELE-PRESSION)
Si le Soleil maintient son activité électrique actuelle, on peut s'attendre à de fortes pluies sur l'Europe et même beaucoup de neige au bout d'une rotation solaire de 30 jours (cas des taches aux latitudes solaires élevées) , donc vers Noël 2009.

APRèS NOUS le DéLUGE ? Ce soir vendredi 13 nov. à la télé Thalassa FR3. De la bonne science ou du catastrophisme démagogique ? Les faits : a/ oui la banquise de l'Arctique diminue notablement depuis 20 ans. Mais comparons ce qui est comparable par les photos satellite prises vers les 15 sept.2009,2008......2000 (avec google cf TODAY-DAILY -SEA ICE - ARCTIC). Le 15/9/2008 les navires peuvent contourner le pôle mais pas à la fin de l'été 2009
b/ oui le niveau des océans est monté de ...20cm en 100 ans, régulièrement , sans accélération depuis l'an 2000...Nous sommes loin du déluge. (avec google cf GLOBAL - SEA LEVEL -WIKIPEDIA)
c/ La géologie est formelle : les océans sont montés sur les continents de plus de 200m, partout au même moment, par exemple il y a 90 millions d'années (cf CENOMANIAN TRANGRESSION-WIKIPEDIA). La fonte de toutes les glaces ne peut expliquer que 50m...La seule explication est celle d'un gonflement électro-statique de l'eau de mer, suite à une intense activité électrique du Soleil. Comme souligné dans ce même site, cela donne un champ géomagnétique maximum, 3,5 fois le Bp actuel.
d/ Des SOLUTIONS acceptables pour tous : la REFORESTATION accélérée en Afrique , Asie, Amériques, Grèce, Espagne...Tout en absorbant le CO2, les forêts augmentent la pluviosité...Et quand les météorologues auront compris que l'électricité de l'atmosphère n'est pas un aspect secondaire mais le moteur même de la dynamique des nuages, alors on pourra espérer produire des pluies artificielles...

WINTER 2009-2010 : severe frosts for Europe and NW America. Relation with the lack of solar flares.
Today october 15 2009 the Sun remains without any important solar flare (since several months) . As shown at the rubric CLIMATOLOGIE of www.geologie-nature-alsace.com the motor of the eastward drift of the global atmosphere are mainly the proton jets emitted by the solar flares. Without such emissions the weather is mainly dry at the western borders of the continents , very cold and dry in winter , and hot in summer.
With this exceptional long period without any solar flare, the question may be posed : are we before a new little ICE AGE , like the one of 1665-1715? Note that for these little glacial era, it is not clear if the summers were cold or hot...

August 2009 : month of cyclones and catastrophic earthquakes ?
The new electrostatics of the Earth and its ionosphere is supported once more by recent facts : it is not fortuitous that strong inflows of cosmic electrons are followed, 15 minutes later, by a very powerful earthquake and in the next days by several tropical cyclones.
-Yesterday sunday 9 august 2009 at 10h30 auroral activity was exceptionnally strong :75 gigawatts ( 64 GW...41 GW in the same hour). ( with Google search AURORAL ACTIVITY; POES -RECENT). This results from the inflow of solar or interstellar electrons. Consequences :
a/ at 10 h 56 occured a very powerful earthquake in Japan( magnitude 7,1) fortunately at a very deep focus (303km). Today 10 august, again a strong EQ (mag 6,6) at the Salomon Is. ( with Google search USGS- recent-earthquake M5+ ) . Our explanation : these kind of earthquakes are electrostatic explosions of + ions from the deep mantle, triggered by negative anomalies in the ionosphere.
b/ TROPICAL CYCLONES as a consequence of a lower ionospheric potential
Several severe tropical cyclones develop since august 9 (with Google see MONTEREY-NAVAL-LAB; CYCLONES-IMAGERY). Our explanation :
the lower potential of the ionosphere (resulting from the very low solar activity or from intrusion of clouds of electrons) induces the ascension of wet and warm air masses. These masses are normally electropositive : each cm3 of air contains 100 elementary + charges in excess.
The ascension of the air masses produces strong rotating winds (to the left in the northern hemisphere) by 2 causes working together :
-the Coriolis force , as well known in meteorology
-the electromagnetic force acting on the ascending +ions : remember the rule of the 3 fingers with the magnetic field downward in the northern hemisphere....

En ce 10 août 2009 la nouvelle électrostatique de la Terre et de son ionosphère trouve une fois de plus une confirmation par les faits récents. Il n'est pas fortuit en effet que la forte aurore polaire de hier 9/8/09 (indice 9) ait été suivie au bout de 15 minutes par un séisme de magnitude 7,1 qui aurait été catastrophique si son foyer n'était pas si profond (303km). C'est que l'arrivée des électrons cosmiques donnant les intenses aurores polaires induit des explosions électrostatiques d'ions + du manteau terrestre.
Par grand minimum d'activité solaire comme en cet été 2009(aucune tache depuis plusieurs semaines) l'arrivée d'électrons d'origine solaire ou galactique réduit encore le potentiel + de l'ionosphère (normalement à +300 000 V par rapport au sol). cela favorise l'ascension de masses d'air humides et chaudes normalement chargées +. La rotation de ces masses d'air, vers la gauche dans l'hémisphère nord, est due à deux causes :
-la force de Coriolis agissant sur les vents venant remplacer l'air ascendant humide et chaud (d'où les fortes pluies)
-la force électromagnétique agissant sur les ions + ascendants . Se rappeler la règle des 3 doigts en notant que dans l'hémisphère nord, le champ magnétique est vers le bas.
il n'est pas étonnant qu'en ce début d'août 2009 les cyclones soient catastrophiques , comme au Japon (typhon ETAU) ou vers Taiwan (typhon Morakot). comme pour les séismes, il n'est pas inutile de surveiller l'activité aurorale (avec Google cherchez POES, RECENT DATA).

A major but neglected cause of the climate variability is the potential of the ionosphere, itself dependent of the electric emissions of the Sun ( Albert NODON, 1910) . For instance the glaciations would result from the encounters with CLOUDS of ELECTRONS mainly stored in the galactic equatorial plane. The periodicity is 32 millions years, which appears in geology : quaternary glaciations -2 My ; Oligocène -34 My ; limite Cretaceous- Tertiary -65 My...A first clear explanation of the fact that the quaternary glaciations are stronger in the northern hemisphere : presently the solar system goes northward with the speed of 19 km/s. Next encounter with a galactic cloud of electrons in 30 000 years (estimation with the Doppler effect on the radio emissions of the electrons).

Positive or negative thunderbolts
Continuous records during several years (1994-1996) at two stations (Strasbourg and Mulhouse-Illzach) of the atmospheric electricity have shown that the primary cause of the thunderbolts is the intrusion of solar electricity. Proofs are given in COSMO & HELIOMETEO, bulletin of the association ARFA, since 1950.
Also in continuity since 1995 we use phonic and optic warnings against atmospheric electricity in Alsace, Normandie, Spain..These devices are of great fiability : only one went in failure because of a too near thunderbolt. A network of such warnings around the airports would be a progress for the aerian security.
Several tens of minutes and sometimes more than an hour , our warnings show negative (green led) or positive (red led) electricity in the air, before thunderweather. The most time the upper atmosphere is negative (green led) by intrusion of solar electrons. The thunderbolt is the passage in the soil of these electrons. Some seconds after the thunderbolt the atmosphere appears as positive (red led) by comeback of +charges attracted by the negative ionosphere.
Recent example : a thunderbolt from the EIFFEL Tower ( take www.spaceweather.com ARCHIVES of 28 may 2009, upon right)
Probably we should call this a positive thunderbolt, because we suppose that the upper atmosphere appears as POSITIVE several tens of minutes before the thunderbolt. Probably it was a motion of electrons from the soil to the anomalous strongly positive ionosphere.

Méthane et séismes : un projet incomplet d'IFREMER
Il est bien connu que beaucoup de séismes sont précédés par des montées de gaz : méthane (CH4), SH2, radon, H2. Ce qui est moins connu c'est que ces gaz sont électro-positifs : CH4+ ; SH2+ ; radon +++ (par les produits de la désintégration radioactive) ; H2+ ou son association avec H2O soit < H3OH+> . On explique du même coup l'existence de courants électriques avant les séismes, prouvant la montée d'ions+ depuis les couches profondes. Ces courants telluriques se manifestent sous forme de créneaux (cf ci-dessous). Ces courants sont faciles à mesurer, y compris en mer, avec des électrodes à l'argent chloruré stabilisées ( procédé mis au point par J.M.Meunier, dans l'équipe du Commandant Yves Cousteau, cf "Enregistrements telluriques en mer" Bulletin de l'Institut Océanographique de Monaco, vol 65 n° 1339, 1965).
Le projet en cours d'exécution par IFREMER en Turquie, le long de la faille anatolienne (cf pierre.cochonat@ifremer.fr) gagnerait à considérer l'ensemble du problème, et non pas la simple émission de méthane. Comme les émissions d'ions+ sont unipolaires, le champ électrique décroit comme 1/R2 (et non pas comme 1/R3 pour un dipole) et on peut l'observer assez loin de la source, donc sur terre... Trois stations telluriques distantes de 100km permettraient de localiser précisément le futur épicentre sismique.

The seismic crisis of october 7/8 2009 : seven very strong EQ (magnitudes 6.7--7.8--7.7--7.3--6.6--6.8--6.5 ) again correlated with a severe depletion of the solar wind (with Google see EARTHQUAKE-RECENT-M5+) . As shown above the solar wind speed is sometimes very low : 250km/s; and its density is most time below 0.1 proton/cm3. So this sery of EQ appear as electrostatic explosions of + ions stored in the deep mantle; indeed the first EQ occurs at the depth of 583km... Other explanations below...

EQ of Samoa & Sumatra (29 & 30 sept 2009) : a ionospheric TRIGGER ?
The seismic catastrophes of Samoa (magnitude 8.0) and Sumatra (30 sept.2009, mag. 7.6, about 5000 killed and missed) occur at the end of a long solar minimum, following the rule of Henry MéMERY (1930). Like for the EQ of TAN SHAN (july 1976, more than 300 000 killed) heavy rains occured at the same time in the nearby regions (Beijing) and now with inundations and typhoons (Vietnam,Philippines....)
These correlations are explained in the frame of the new electrostatics of the Earth and its ionosphere :
-Heavy rains with the secular inundation occured at Molsheim near Strasbourg at 10 july 1992 while we recorded in continuity since several weeks the atmospheric electricity at Strasbourg and Mulhouse (distance : 120km). Surprisingly since july 9 there were very strong events of only NEGATIVE ELECTRICITY. Indeed electrons stored in rain drops produced sparks and put in fire two factories ! The fires began under the roofs in gases from solvants...
-As shown below axes of thunderweathers wandered from the NE coast of Spain to Sicily from sept. 27 to oct.2 giving catastrophics rains. Didier COUTANCEAU, our vice-president of ARFA , sailing near the Baleares, observed very strong and continuous air electricity , only NEGATIVE with one of our phonic and optic warnings , since sept . 28. Conclusion : there is a negative anomaly in the ionosphere having a slow estward drift. This anomaly may trigger an earthquake when positive charges stored in the crust and mantle may come up along deep faults.
The EQ is then mainly an electrostatic explosion of + ions . As explained hereby the prevision of such a catastrophic event necessitates 3 kinds of data : a/warnings against air electricity b/ observations of crenelated earthcurrents . c/ warnings against RADON , i.e. upwelling of +ions.
SEISMIC CRISIS of sept.2/3 2009 : a clear confirmation of the new electrostatics of the Earth
Three strong earthquakes occured at sept 2/3 : JAVA, magitude 7.0 depth 49km ; KERMADEC mag. 6.2 depth 261km; KYUSHU (Japan) mag.6.2 depth 161km. As shown below , at the same time the proton density of the solar wind was very low , often below 0.1 proton/cm3. Also the solar wind speed was low, 300km/s. The depletion of the +charge density in the interplanetary space induces an up-welling of + charges from the deep Earth, probably from the metallic core. So deep EQ are electrostatic explosions of + charges passing through the deep mantle.
The prevision of such kinds of EQ necessitates a set of 3 kinds of observations (see below) :
a/stepped earthcurrents show the existence of deeply opened faults and the possibility of ascending +charges (CH4+;SH2+;radon+, H3OH+) b/radon detectors show the reality of such faults
c/the electronegative upper atmosphere is a trigger for the explosion of +charges. Warnings for this air negative electricity are in fonction since 1995 with a 100% fiability ( meunierjmi@estvideo.fr )
CRISE SISMIQUE PRéVISIBLE ?
En ce matin du 11 août 2009 on note déjà 4 séismes majeurs en 2 jours : 9/8 10h56 Japon magnitude 7,1 /// 10/8 4h06 mag.6,6 Santa Cruz (iles Salomon) /// 10/8 19h55 mag.7,6 Andaman Is, Inde /// 10/8 20h07 mag. 6,4 Sud Honshu, Japon . (avec Google cf USGS-EARTHQUAKE M5+RECENT). Or le 9/8 à partir de 10h30 sont apparues des aurores polaires intenses (indice 9 ; avec Google cf POES-RECENT) suivis dans la 1/2 heure par le séisme de mag. 7,1 au Japon. Le matin du 10/8 nous avions annoncé la possibilité d'une crise sismique sur ce même site à CLIMATOLOGY en expliquant le lien avec les typhons sévissant dans le Pacifique.
La nouvelle électrostatique de la Terre et de son ionosphère prévoit que des intrusions d'électrons dans l'ionosphère peuvent induire à la fois a/un séisme majeur ayant les caractéristiques d'une explosion électrostatique des ions + (CH4+, SH2+ , H2+, radon +) stockés dans le manteau b/ un ou plusieurs cyclones par ascension et rotation des ions+ contenus dans l'air humide de la basse atmosphère
La théorie montre que l'électricité n'est pas un aspect secondaire en sismologie et en météo, mais souvent le moteur même des phénomènes violents. Il est donc essentiel pour la prévision, de mesurer cette électricité dans le sol (courants telluriques) , dans l'air et dans l'ionosphère. Pour cela les appareils sont au point comme on peut le voir ci-après. Nous envisageons de les produire pour la vente s'il y a des demandes.

Aircraft CRASHES correlated with SEISMIC FAULTS
It was considered by Ronald KAREL that the crash of the AIRBUS 330 could be related to earthquakes at the nearby mid-atlantic ridge, giving the islands of Fernando do Noronha, in the days around 1.june 2009(see www.meteoquake.org/sismique ). The new electrostatics of the Earth and its ionosphere explains clearly this correlation: some kinds of earthquakes are electrostatic explosions of ions + stored in the deep earth. These electropositive gases, H2+,CH4+, RADON and the gases+ resulting from its radioactivity, appear before and after the quake. They trigger thunderbolts as do a mountain, a tower or a high tree.
Why are positive thunderbolts more destructive ? Maybe that the currents of all thunderbolts are always a flow of electrons. These electrons come from the sky (negative bolt) and more rarely from the soil (positive thunderbolt). Now suppose a concentration of ions +, for instance a cloud of radon + coming from a seismic fault, or energetic solar protons inflows in the upper atmosphere. The dissipation of such an electropositive plasma is longer than the one of electrons of higher mobility. So the electric field of + plasmas is the highest, and the resulting thunderbolts are the most destructive (explosion of towers etc).
An aircraft crash by positive electricity : scientific and ...commercial.. arguments.
A Boeing 737 crashed in Peru at 29 feb.1996 (123 killed). The true story was only given by the journal LE FIGARO : " it was observed from an other aircraft that the Boeing 737 had the wing in fire when coming out from a thundercloud "..The other newspapers wrote that the Boeing crashed in "the smog masking the mountain"... It is clear that for many crashes the role of thunderbolts is not mentionned by the rule of silence : the true explanation of the unforeseen danger would cost several 100 000 travellers/year.
Now this 29 feb.1996 was a very special day by the exceptional strong emissions of solar energetic protons giving strong geomagnetic variations ( pulsed bays) which were also recorded by earthcurrents at our station of illzach/Mulhouse. The maximum of current occured at 20h20 UT and the crash 4 hours later, i.e.at the same solar hour. Strong positive thunderbolts occured probably, giving a flow of electrons from the soil to the ionosphere , unfortunately through the Boeing 737.
By the same cause, volcanic clouds are dangerous for aircrafts because they are positively charged and trigger severe thunderbolts (see a "volcanic " thunderbolt at the archives of 6 june 2009 at www.spaceweather.com ).
Several arguments are given hereby that the electric hazard may be forecasted by alarms against air electricity, by the detection of radon (see hereby the new detector of Gregory JEAN), by the observation of solar electric emissions etc.

RADON, CRENELATED ELECTRO-TELLURICS , precursors of ELECTROSTATIC EXPLOSIONS from the DEEP EARTH
Today 6 april 2009 occured an important earthquake in Italy, at L'AQUILA (Abruzzes) with probably more than 1000 killed. This event is also important because it is again a clear proof that RADON emissions may be used for the prediction of catastrophic earthquakes ( with Google see GIULIANI, physicist at GRAN SASSO lab; RADON). But also prof.Lu DAJIONG, Chinese Physicist working presently in California, has shown in his books that earth-currents may be used for earthquake prevision (with Google search DAJIONG LU; EARTHQUAKE), and also VAROTSOS,ATHENS)
These two kinds of facts are two applications of the new ELECTROSTATICS of the EARTH and the IONOSPHERE (Meunier, first publications in 1990; see with Google : MEUNIER;EARTHQUAKE and at ASTRO-ELECTROSTATICS of www.geologie-nature-alsace.com .
Below, at left, a seismic fault with emanations of positive ions CH4 , SH2, H2+ or its combination with water giving H3OH+, RADON whose radioactive desintegration gives also an electropositive gas. For the detection the new devices of Grégory JEAN are now available (see below).
in the middle : telluric lines showing how the futur epicentre may be detected, by its emissions of + ions. The electric field decreases like the one of a monopole, like 1/D2. The length of the lines NS and EW may be reduced to 100m or 50m by the use of the very stable non-polarized silver electodes (Meunier,1965). So the EQ may be predicted in time AND space :
Below at right : crenelated electro-tellurics as observed by Lu Dajiong. They appear several days before the seimic event, with a surprising periodicity of some hours or days (10 hours for instance). This periodicity may reflect an oscillating process in the deep Earth or an RLC oscillator between the ionosphere and the metallic mantle. The crenelated earthcurrents were recorded by J.M.Meunier in the Rhine RIFT valley during the years 1995-1997, every time during a thunderweather (see COSMO & HELIOMETEO, 1998).
TONGA 19 mars 2009 : un séisme qui ....sauve des dizaines de milliers d'humains ?
En ce minimum mémorable d'activité solaire, il faut s'attendre à un terrible séisme. En effet comme signalé en 1930 par l'hélio-météorologue de Bordeaux Henry MéMERY, les catastrophes sismiques sont plus probables tous les 11 ans vers le minimum d'activité solaire. C'est ainsi que la catastrophe sismique des 27 et 28 juillet 1976 en Chine au Tan Shan (magnitudes 7.8 et 7.4, 300 000 tués) se produisit le jour suivant le minimum le plus prononcé depuis 20 ans de l'indice d'activité solaire Sa (ondes radio solaires à 10,7 cm).
Comme expliqué par J.M.Meunier dès 1991 dans diverses publications en Chine, Bulgarie, Roumanie, Europe (CEE) , dans plusieurs bulletins Cosmo & Heliometeo, et sur divers sites en cherchant avec Google EARTHQUAKE;PREVISION; MEUNIER ces sortes de séismes sont des explosions électrostatiques d'ions + stockés dans la croûte terrestre et probablement dans le manteau métallique . Quand le vent solaire , et donc l'espace interplanétaire, sont appauvris en ions +, l'intérieur de la Terre a tendance à rendre des ions +, un peu comme une bouteille de ....champagne rend des bulles quand on la débouche brusquement.
Les données de vent solaire ci-dessous sont une nouvelle confirmation de la théorie : en effet le séisme des Tonga (magnitude 7,6) s'est produit le 19 mars 2009 à 18h17 TU alors que le vent solaire est très appauvri en ions H+ (moins de 0,1 proton/cm3). il faut espérer qu'une région plus habitée ne sera pas affectée dans les prochaines semaines.
Pour la prévision de ces séismes, la mesure des courants telluriques semble prometteuse, car la Terre rend déjà des ions + avant le séisme. Pour ces mesures , des électrodes impolarisées à l'argent chloruré mises au point par J.M.Meunier sont utilisées dans le monde entier.
SEISME CATASTROPHIQUE en VUE ? En ce 13 février2009 le Soleil reste sans la moindre tache depuis plusieurs semaines. Ce grand calme solaire pourrait se terminer par un terrible séisme, comme en Chine en 1976 (plus de 300 000 tués). L'arrivée de jets d'électrons solaires ou galactiques pourrait être le "trigger" du séisme.
SEISMES et AURORES POLAIRES
En ce samedi 3 janvier 2009 il y a une nette augmentation de l'activité des aurores polaires avec un indice 10 à 9h27TU (99 gigawatts , soit autant que la puissance de l'ensemble des centrales électriques de France) . Il y aura donc une accentuation de la vague de froid sur l'Europe (voir notre rubrique PREVISION METEO sur le site www.geologie-nature-alsace.com)
Autre conséquence : le séisme de ce soir à19h43 TU de Papouasie, magnitude 7,6 . (avec google cherchez EARTHQUKES;LATEST; M5+ LIST). C'est certainement un séisme de nature d'explosion électrostatique pouvant donner un tsunami. En effet l'arrivée d'importantes quantités d'électrons depuis le Soleil ou l'espace galactique produit des aurores polaires et induit la montée de charges+ depuis l'intérieur de la Terre, donc certains séismes particulièrement catastrophiques; Cela a été vu par H.Mémery et Albert NODON (voir son livre de 1910, "L'action électrique du Soleil " page 107). Des photocopies de ce livre avec commentaires de J.M.Meunier peuvent être envoyées sur demande à webmaster@geologie-nature-alsace.com .
Notre nouvelle électrostatique de la Terre et de l'ionosphère explique pourquoi il y a une corrélation entre l'électricité atmosphérique et les séismes. On montre que la meilleure méthode de prévision est celle préconisée par le Prof. Lu Dajiong de Californie (voir ci-dessous) : la périodicité des courants telluriques précurseurs viendrait d'un système oscillant RLC faisant intervenir en particulier les charges électriques + stockées dans le manteau métallique.
L'observation des montée de gaz radioactif RADON, qui est précisément un ion +++, devrait compléter aisément la mesure des courants telluriques, grâce à l'appareil de conception tout à fait nouvelle de Grégory JEAN (ci-dessous)

La plupart des séismes sont causés par les tensions qui apparaissent dans la Terre. Ils sont parfaitement expliqués par la mécanique classique. Certains séismes, dont les plus catastrophiques , donnent lieu à des précurseurs électriques dans l'ionosphère, l' atmosphère et le sol. Nous estimons, après Albert NODON, que dans ces cas l'électricité est la cause majeure et non pas un effet secondaire comme la piézo-électricité. TWO LARGE EQ PREDICTED in GREECE (from EOS 23 sept 2008 p 363)
On 10 feb.2008 a paper by VAROTSOS et al. announced in the Greek newspaper ETHNOS that an EQ of magnitude 6 or more would occur imminently in the SW Peloponese. Indeed this happened on 14 feb.2008 by an EQ of M= 6.9 and its aftershock of M= 6.2 . Probably the prediction would have been more precise (1 hour ?) by the method of Prof.Lu DAJIONG (see below).
By considering our new ELECTROSTATICS of the Earth and the ionosphere , we suppose that the +charges stored in the deep crust and mantle (and maybe in the metallic core) produce oscillating currents like those of a self-induction-capacitor system. The resulting EQ is an electrostatic explosion of ions+ , triggered by the inflow of negative charges in the ionosphere.
Surely, the combination of the two methods, by VAN and Lu Dajiong would be a real progress in EQ prediction. Note that with dry unpolarized silver-silver chloride electrodes ( J.M.Meunier, Bulletin Institut Oceanographique de Monaco vol 65 n°1339 , 1965 ) earth currents may be observed accurently with lines of only 50m.
Surely also warnings against RADON would bring another progress. Those of Grégory JEAN (see below) react in the hour to increases of radon concentration. The up-welling of ions radon Rn+++ ... is well explained by our new electrostatics.

Au-dessus de 400 becquerels/m3 (une sonnerie toutes les 15 minutes) les habitants risquent un cancer du poumon, plus que s'ils fumaient 20 cigarettes/jour. Its a important complement to the anomalous EARTH-CURRENTS recorded before earthquakes. Note that up-welling of radon +++ is an unipolar source of positive electricity
juillet 2008 : canicule , violents orages et séisme catastrophique ?
En ce 22 juin 2008 l'activité électrique du Soleil est faible et le restera probablement en juillet . L'absence de forts vents d'ouest, venant de l'océan, permettra l'installation de périodes de fortes chaleurs entrecoupées par de violents orages ou leurs équivalents tropicaux, les cyclones . En effet dans les deux cas l'ascendance électrique d'un vortex ionique électro-positif est renforcée par une ascendance thermique, en fin de journée.
L'ascendance d'ions + peut commencer dans la croûte terrestre , donnant lieu à un séisme à caractère d'explosion électrostatique, donc très destructeur. Ces séismes sont précédés de phénomènes électriques dans le sol , l'atmosphère et l'ionosphère ( voir les travaux de Lu DAJIONG sur www.earthquake2008.com et de Ronald KAREL sur www.meteoquake.org
Ce fut le cas à la fin du grand calme solaire de 1976 avec les catastrophes sismiques des 27 et 28 juillet 1976 (300 000 tués au Tang-shan, Chine) .
A CATASTROPHIC EARTHQUAKE in JULY 2008 ?
Our new ELECTROSTATICS of the EARTH and the SOLAR SYSTEM explains why during the solar minimum the solar wind and the interplanetary space are deflated in protons . So the deep layers of the Earth may transfer suddenly positive charges to the atmosphere ( H2+; CH4+ ; radon+ etc). The resulting electrostatic repulsion may be 10 or 100 times more destructive at the Earth's surface than mechanical stress releases from normal earthquakes.

The up-welling of + charges produces the strange crenelated EARTH CURRENTS (in form of battlements) . They are considered as EQ precursors since the 1980' by VAROTSOS in Greece. Since the most important contribution is from Prof. Lu DAJIONG, presently in California : the crenelated currents appear with a periodicity of one or several days . So not only the location of the impending EQ , but also its time may be predicted with an error of only some hours.
The periodicity could result from a trigger in the ionosphere rather than from the deep crust...
